Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License.

Authors are entitled to deposit their original version (pre-print) or the final version in institutional and/or centrally organized repositories. Authors can publicly publish immediately upon publication. U.Porto Journal of Engineering strongly encourages authors to deposit the final version instead of the pre-print. This will guarantee that the definitive version is readily available to those accessing the article from such repositories and means it is more likely to be cited correctly (if correct citation details are given).

To help support the maintenance of the Journal and its sustainability, 'Article Processing Charges' (APC) are requested from the authors. APCs include peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining, and archiving.

The value of the Article Processing Charges has been defined in 500,00 €, with an inaugural year discount of 50%. In 2024, the Journal will charge 250,00 € for the publication of each paper. Authors affiliated with Universidade do Porto are exempt from the APCs.
